The Polk County Chamber of Commerce welcomes as members e-Polk, providers of "PANGAEA" Internet and Data Service.  e-Polk is a LOCAL non-profit organization which supplies Fiber Optic at data speeds far exceeding DSL and Cable at an affordable price.  In addition, PANGAEA's fiber supports Voice-over-IP and  Syncronous upload/download speed (2.5 - 5.0+) mbps. The PANGAEA network is available to businesses in downtown Tryon and along Highway 108 to Cooper-Riis, soon to Rutherfordton.  In coming months e-Polk hopes to have a complete fiber connection to Spartanburg.  Anyone interested in PANGAEA Internet and data service should contact Stu Davidson, stu@e-polk.org at 828-817-2919 or visit their website www.pangaea.us
